Sophia Chandler Alleyne is a Barbadian national who has been living and working in the Cayman Islands for the last 8 years. She is currently employed at the George Town Hospital, with the support of Hedge Funds Care Cayman, as a Child Psychologist with special responsibilities for working with children and their families who are dealing with the trauma resulting from child abuse. She has been employed in this capacity for the past 4 years.  In addition to her trauma work with children and their families, she also works to provide prevention knowledge to the wider community as a certified Stewards of Children facilitator and instructor.  Sophia is dedicated to working cooperatively with professionals and community members towards raising awareness of the devastating effects of child abuse and in so doing help to make the Cayman Islands a safe and happy place for all children.
