JAMES V. HART (J.V.) was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and grew up in Ft. Worth Texas on Drive-In Movies and Saturday Matinees.
His writing/producing credits include; HOOK, directed by Steven Spielberg based on an idea by Hart’s then 6 year old Son, Jake, BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND, directed by Brian Henson, and CONTACT, directed by Robert Zemeckis.
Other writing/producing credits include: MARY SHELLEY’S FRANKENTSEIN, TUCK EVERLASTING, JACK AND THE BEANSTALK: THE REAL STORY. SAHARA, LARA CROFT: TOMBRAIDER – THE CRADLE OF LIFE, AUGUST RUSH, and EPIC.
Hart is Executive Producer and co-writer on the animated feature, EPIC, with children’s book illustrator and home town friend, SMU graduate, William Joyce, and director-animator Chris Wedge, who created ICE AGE and ROBOTS with Joyce released in 2013.
TV projects include THE REPUBLIC OF PIRATES, AKA CROSSBONES, for NBC with Texas born writing partner, Amanda Welles, and Kurt Vonnegut Jr. series projects, SIRENS OF TITAN, PLAYER PIANO, and 2BR02B, with his son, Jake Hart.
STEELSKIN is his new project in development at Fox for Actor/Director, Andy Serkis, and August Rush producer, Richard Lewis.

Paul Schrader, legendary screenwriter and filmmaker is coming to CayFilm this year!
Paul Joseph Schrader is an American screenwriter, film director, and film critic. Schrader wrote or cowrote screenplays for the Martin Scorsese classics Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and The Last Temptation of Christ and has directed 18 feature films, including his 1982 remake of the horror classic Cat People, and critically acclaimed dramas American Gigolo (1980), Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985), Affliction (1997) and Auto Focus (2002), as well as The Canyons (2013).
On July 2, 2009, Schrader was awarded the inaugural Lifetime Achievement in Screenwriting award at the ScreenLit Festival in Nottingham, England. Several of his films were shown at the festival, including Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters, which followed the presentation of the award by director Shane Meadows.
Schrader most recent film is The Dying of the Light, an espionage thriller starring Nicolas Cage, Anton Yelchin and Irène Jacob. He is currently in production on several films for 2015.
Courtney Jones: Mr. Jones directed the hybrid reality series titled "Home, James!" for MTV/VH1. Also for MTV, Courtney worked on "Blowin' Up with Jamie Kennedy." Courtney went on to direct an independent pilot called "The Unromantic Comedy", as well as a series of promos for American Idol Gives Back (FOX).
Matt Berlin: In addition to his acting credits in film & TV including the landmark series "Breaking Bad," Matt has extensive experience as a creative and technical producer for companies such as Sony, NBC-Interactive, IDG World Media, and Anschutz Entertainment.
