NOSOTROS is a cultural space in which poetry reading, live music, talks
about authors, books, movies and other entertainment are enjoyed during
group gatherings at Books&Books, Camana Bay, on the fourth Wednesday of
each month. The project is inclusive in that every interested person - no
matter their mother tongue - is enthusiastically encouraged and welcome to
join. NOSOTROS is part of the Cultural Project Puentes (ŚBridgesą), aimed
to preserve and develop the culture, language, traditions and identities
of the Spanish-speaking people represented in the Cayman Islands. The
range of łPuentes˛ reaches far away from these demographics because it
creates and strengthens the existing historical nexus. It also links all
the nationalities that co-exist in the country, assimilating into the
Caymanian community through its culture, while reinforcing the concept of
the necessary symbiosis.
